About Our Logo
The rectangle with its rounded corners contains the symbols of the cross, water and fish. This form of cross is a clearly accepted symbol of Christ's passion and the act of atonement in reconciliation of humankind with God. The fish is an ancient symbol of Christ IXøUS, the five Greek letters forming the words, "Jesus Christ, God's Son, Saviour." The waves speak of cleansing and purity. |

The round cornered rectangle represents the earth and the circle that rounds the corners is the symbol for God. Thus it becomes a God-Present Earth. |

The color blue is used to proclaim heavenly love and truth. Within the logo, there is the story of the redemption of humankind, the baptism we have entered as a witness of the acceptance of Christ as Lord and Saviour. CBOQ Churches may have permission to use our logo. Contact bcoq @ baptist.ca for permission and to receive a printer-friendly version. |
