Meet our Team
Tanya Krahn serves as Director of Child, Youth & Family Ministries at Walmer Road Baptist Church. She has served both as a lay leader and as staff in a variety of places with children, youth and student ministries for more than 15 years. She is passionate about nurturing faith in young people and in equipping families to pass on faith to their children. She is also passionate about creating a culture of mentoring relationships within the church.

Miriam Little serves as the Director of Children's Ministry at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church. Miriam has had experience working with Children’s Ministries in a variety of places and capacities. Some of these include leading nutrition clinics for moms and their preschool children in the slums of Port au Prince Haiti, serving as Children’s Pastor at Spring Garden Baptist Church in Toronto and administrating a children’s and youth grief recovery project in Sri Lanka, following the Tsunami. Miriam is married to Ken and has four children and five grandchildren. Together Ken and Miriam have served in compassionate and church ministries for most of their married life having lived in Canada, Thailand, Haiti and Sri Lanka. Miriam is passionate about the significant place that children hold in God’s kingdom and has seen from experience that they can contribute their gifts to the life of the church.

Jan Mutter serves as Pastor of Family Discipleship at Stanley Park Baptist Church. She has over 30 years of lay leadership experience working in CBOQ churches in which she has held teaching and administrative roles in Christian Education, directed women’s ministries, and led worship. In 2010 she completed an M.T.S. degree and focused her thesis on the topic of “Home Based Discipleship: A Mutual Effort Between Church and Home”. She is the mother of three grown children and is married to Rev. Dr. Kelvin Mutter.

Liz Shaughnessy serves as Children’s Ministry Director at First Baptist Church in Orillia. Liz has a passion for sharing the life changing Truth of Salvation and Hope in knowing Jesus Christ to children who are oppressed, marginalized and/or hurting. To Liz there is nothing more rewarding then witnessing our Great God mend the broken hearts of our children and then to watch as their faith walk and love for Him deepens. Her strengths include Christian Education, Administration and Policy for medium to large size churches.

Deb Tempelmeyer brings multiple years of ministry, teaching and training experience and passion to inspire and resource the church. She is most excited about recent trends in educational ministries where the church and parents are partnering together in the spiritual formation of their children. Deb holds a Bachelor of Religious Education(Tyndale) and a Master of Religious Education (McMaster Divinity College). Deb is Director of Marketing at David C. Cook Distribution Canada where she gets to resource many Christian publishers products to the church in Canada. She is married to Gene, Lead Pastor at Spring Garden Baptist church, and Mom to two adult children.
