The staff of CBOQ desire to assist both congregations and ministry personnel seeking placement to discover strong, healthy connections to one another.

Working together, the office of Leadership Development and Congregational Health support and assist pastors and churches in the placement process. Baptist churches are autonomous entities that “associate” through co-operative endeavours. It has always been and remains the responsibility and privilege of individual local Baptist churches to recruit and call ministry personnel. The staff of the CBOQ works to support, resource and encourage churches in this placement process. We value the critical importance of a strong match between a local church and the pastor. Therefore, while there has never been a centralized placement system or authoritative hierarchy within our Convention when it comes to the placement of pastors, the staff of CBOQ continues to actively support both churches and pastors in the placement process.
