Pastoral Clusters and Networks

Associations

The CBOQ has historically been divided into Associations of churches. These Associations are of varying geographical and numeric size, but include clusters of between 7 – 90 churches. The Association is an important part of the life of the CBOQ, and acts as a liaison between the local church and the wider constituency in the CBOQ. To learn more click here.

Pastoral Clusters and Networks

In recent years, the executive staff of the CBOQ have been intentionally working with churches and leaders in the development of strategic clusters or church networks. Clustering is an effective way to bring together a small group of pastors who find themselves working towards a shared goal. These clusters will begin to evolve geographically (sometimes associationally), but will allow for creativity and variety.

Areas currently being developed are:

Missional networks – groups of churches working together in mission

Geographic clusters – small groups of pastors who live close to one another

Church planting networks – groups of churches working together as planting agencies.
